Two EKF members have become the Youth Charters first Ambassadors For Sport from Karate

Dannielle Woodward, who trains with the BWKU in Scunthorpe, and James Hinchcliffe from the BWKU in Barnsley have become the Youth Charters first Ambassadors For Sport from Karate (Danielle Westwood pictured below).

The Executive Directors of the charity examined their training records and commitment to Karate. They also had to display the ethics of Karate-Do.

Additionally both Karate Ka had to evidence what the have back to their community, such as School Enrichment activities, Peer Mentoring and a scheme within school such as Anti-Bullying.

The award was given in the memory of Suzanne Genery who previously worked for and shaped the National Governing Body for Karate.

James is seen with his Youth Charter scroll (below) which was presented by Youth Charter Chief Executive and former 5 times World Karate Champion Geoff Thompson.
