The countdown is on for the 2025 European Karate Federation (EKF) Cadet, Junior, and U21 Championships, which will take place in Bielsko-Biała, Poland, from 7th to 9th February 2025. This prestigious event will bring together 1,177 competitors from 48 countries, each striving to leave their mark on the European stage. Among them are England’s finest young karate athletes, ready to compete and represent their country with pride.
Bielsko-Biała, a city with a rich karate heritage, is no stranger to hosting high-calibre international events. As the home of the Polish Open—one of the most respected tournaments on the European karate calendar—and a key venue during the 2023 European Games, the city has earned its place as a hub for the sport. Its experience and passion for karate make it the ideal setting for this year’s championships, which promise to be a highlight of the 2025 season.
Supporting England’s Talent
The English team, made up of some of the most talented and dedicated young athletes in the nation, has been hard at work preparing for this challenge. Guided by our experienced National Team Squad Coaches, the athletes have demonstrated exceptional commitment, discipline, and determination in their training. Their journey to this stage is a testament to their hard work and passion for the sport, and we couldn’t be prouder of their achievements so far.
But it’s not just the athletes representing England in Bielsko-Biała. Several of our referees will also be travelling to Poland, including some taking their next steps by sitting for exams during the event. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the strength and professionalism of English karate not only on the tatami but also in the officiating arena. We extend our best wishes to all our referees as they take on this important role.
United in Support
The EKF Championships are a celebration of the sport’s future stars, and this year’s event will undoubtedly showcase karate’s brightest talents. As our athletes and referees head to Poland, they carry the support of the entire English Karate community. We are behind them every step of the way, cheering them on as they demonstrate their skills, determination, and sportsmanship on an international stage.
Good luck to our athletes and referees—we are immensely proud of you. You are the embodiment of what makes English karate strong: passion, dedication, and a relentless drive for excellence. Let’s show Europe what England can do!
