Anti-Doping Advice and Rules

The English Karate Federation (EKF) adheres to a comprehensive anti-doping policy that all athletes and their support teams are required to follow. These regulations align with the World Anti-Doping Code, which is the foundational document that standardises anti-doping efforts worldwide across all sports. Similarly, the anti-doping regulations for the EKF are those set forth by UK Anti-Doping (UKAD), subject to updates and revisions over time.

Annual Overview 2024

In 2024 we have:

  • All National Coaches have successfully completed UKAD Training.
  • All National Selected Athletes for the World & European Championships have completed UKAD Training.

  • The 2025 Prohibited List has been issued

Appointed an EKF Anti doping officer (Mr Peter Bibby)

Appointed an EKF Anti doping director (Mr Mike Davies)

Commenced work with UKAD assurance framework

Starting to Develop Anti Doping Education Programme with UKAD national trainers (implementation June 2024)
