EKF European Karate Championships Juniors, Cadets & U21 Zürich, Switzerland, February 6-8, 2015

Day 1

Everyone arrived at Heathrow T5 on time for the early flight to Zurich.  After a relatively short flight we headed to our hotel which is located in the Business Park, where the Head of Delegation, Paul Harris spoke briefly to the squad regarding the usual protocols.  While waiting for the rooms to be  made ready the squad then walked to the nearest shopping center to stock up on supplies for the next day.  Once back at the hotel after checking in it was arranged for the squad to do some light training with their respective coach’s which lasted 1.5hrs.  After this, the squad had their evening meal together at the hotel.

Although very cold and snowy in Zurich the squad seem very happy and relaxed.  Tomorrow they will spend some time training, again keeping it light but focused in readiness for the first day of competition on Friday.
