Squad Training Report for February 20th 2010
With the junior Europeans now over our eyes now turn to the Senior squad.
This was the first session since the Junior European's and was very well attended with over a hundred either participating in kumite or kata. For some, this was their first taste of England squad training and what's expected of them if they make it on to the 'A' squad.
National Coach Wayne Otto OBE and assistant coach Ian Cole took the main kumite training session, whilst Ady Gray took the kata squads for this session. It was also new EKF Chief Referee Dale Gamble's first referee session since accepting the position. Click here to view a video from the session »

The referees had a theory session whilst the squad were in training then after lunch the 'A' squad went to a seperate hall to continue training as did the kata squad and the referees then continued with a practical session.
There were 2 tatamis used for selections for 'A' squad and the men & womens teams for the forthcoming Senior Europeans. Both Wayne Otto OBE and Dale Gamble were pleased with the attendance and the running of the sessions.
The next training session for the 'A' squad will be in March details will be sent to those concerned asap.
