WKF Youth Camp 2012 success for Sophie Santillo

The 5th edition of the WKF Youth Camp took place on the island of Corfu in Greece. This year it included the addition of the children’s categories and the WKF Karate1 Junior and Cadet championships, which took place in conjunction with the youth camp. The training camp was a big success, all the athletes trained for 3 days with the world champions, Davide Benetello, Dimitris Triantafillis and the trainer of the Greek National Team John Kanellis.

On Friday 6 July 2012 England’s competitor Sophie Santillo took part in the female junior individual -53kg kumite category(16-17 years) and won a silver medal. The EKF would like to congratulate Sophie on her achievement.
