Registration System

English Karate Federation

If you do not have one of these (above) or a valid EKF number, you are not in membership of the EKF.

After January 31st 2009, if you cannot produce one of these, you will not be able to enjoy ANY of the benefits of membership e.g. squad training, selections, international events of any EKF sanctioned tournaments.

Anyone in any doubt can check with the membership secretary, who maintains the register of members.

Polite reminder regarding payments

Please note the EKF no longer accepts cheques as a method of payment. Please ensure any payments made include a reference eg name of association or name of person paying if for an item. Please ensure you keep a copy of any receipts. If sending payment for club / association membership this is to be made online only and copies of payments sent with your application. The same applies with instructors insurance and Member 2 member insurance. Copies of payments should be sent to registration officer Selina Utting and / or M O’Brien Treasurer.

New Format for Registrations Returns

The EKF are in the process of building a registration database to assist in the upkeep of all of its data, to this end we are introducing a new template for monthly returns.

The template is of a spread sheet style and to help it must be returned as a spread sheet to the EKF registrar. The layout is similar to the older version but we ask that you complete all items in the boxes please. When completed just save the document as it is (xls format) and Email it to the EKF registration email address.

If you have any questions or require any help with this please email the EKF registrar at registration@englishkaratefederation.com and we will do all we can to help you through this change.

The new 2015 Registration Form can be downloaded here.

Instructions for completing the registration form can be downloaded here.

All associations must register their members with the EKF.

Registration slips are sold in packs of 50 (£150) and should be purchased in advance.

Any association currently operating their own registration data base, can obtain unique numbers which they can use with their registrations system, each individual must be registered with EKF in the month their unique number has been issued. The purpose of registering with EKF is to provide statistical information to a variety of authorities, and to maintain a register of members which will not be disclosed other than to official sources when requested (i.e. Police or courts etc).

The registration database will be used to check individuals when entering official EKF events.

Members Personal Accident Insurance is available to EKF registered members and can be purchased in conjunction with the returned registration return forms. Insurance is provided through LRO Insurance at a cost of £2.20 per member.

For the avoidance of doubt, any individual who holds an EKF membership slip, but has not been registered with EKF, will not be allowed to participate in any EKF event. Registration slips or unique numbers can be obtained from:

Registrations Officer, 59 Halstead Close, Forest Town, Notts NG190RR

This registration system is in operation NOW, please ensure you obtain your registration pack as soon as possible, requests can be made via post or email: registration@englishkaratefederation.com
